At Smart Consulting, we’re looking for a Data Platform Engineer to join our data organization and ensure the reliability, scalability, and excellence of our
- based data platform.

? What it takes to be a Data Platform Engineer:

• Experience working with data pipelines in a production environment
• Strong
  - on knowledge of SQL and experience with distributed processing tools (e. G. , Apache Spark)
• Proficiency troubleshooting dbt, Apache Kafka, Apache Ignite, Apache Ni
  Fi, and Apache Airflow
• Solid programming skills in Python or Scala for data engineering tasks
• Experience with AWS cloud data services
• Familiarity with Grafana or similar observability tools
• Understanding of data governance, compliance, and security best practices in cloud environments
• Experience implementing CI/CD and testing frameworks for data pipelines and data products
• Strong
  - solving abilities and excellent communication skills
• Experience providing platform support or help desk troubleshooting in technical environments
• Availability to start within 30 days
• Fluency in Portuguese and English

? Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Dremio and modern data lakehouse architectures
• Experience provisioning data services using Terraform
• Knowledge of Power BI
  - premises gateway
• Hands-on experience with data catalog and governance tools (Collibra, Alation, etc. )
• Experience with machine learning pipelines and feature engineering

? What you’ll do as a Data Platform Engineer:

• Provide support to users of the data platform, troubleshooting issues and ensuring platform reliability
• Maintain and support ETL/ELT pipelines to guarantee scalable and dependable data flows
• Collaborate with data platform architects to optimise security, performance, and availability
• Improve monitoring, performance, automation, and operational efficiency
• Contribute to data quality frameworks ensuring consistent and accurate data pipelines
• Support the operation of data lakes, data warehouses, and data streaming systems
• Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business users to resolve data platform issues
• Automate repetitive tasks and improve ingestion, transformation, and delivery processes
• Troubleshoot and optimise SQL queries and workflows for performance and cost efficiency
• Document platform changes, processes, and best practices
• Review and approve data product releases into production
