Data Product Business Analyst

- Strong understanding of airline industry operations, processes, and data domains.
- Proven experience in business analysis within data and analytics projects.
- Proficiency in requirement gathering, process modelling (e. g. , BPMN), and writing user stories.
- Ability to interpret and work with large data sets; Basic SQL proficiency is an advantage.
- Familiarity with modern data platforms (e. g. , Databricks, AWS) and data product concepts (e. g. , data mesh, data contracts).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Excel, and data visualization platforms (e. g. , Power BI, Tableau).
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, and compliance principles.
- Gather and document business requirements for data products within a specific airline domain (e. g. , Flight Operations, Customer).
- Translate business needs into clear, structured data requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with Data Product Owners, domain experts, and data engineers to align data product features with business goals.
- Assist in defining and validating data product KPIs, SLAs, and quality metrics and ensure end to end product delivery
- Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for data product releases.
- Support data discovery, profiling, and validation efforts to ensure accurate interpretation of data.
- Bridge communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure mutual understanding and alignment.
- Ensure business requirements comply with governance, privacy, and regulatory standards (e. g. , GDPR, IATA).
