Your new Role
The Data Product Owner, Distribution & Freight will be responsible for impact through scalable Data Products. This person will be responsible for owing the vision, roadmap, and value delivery for one or more
- specific data products, such as Distribution & Freight, GBS/Control Tower, or HR. Deliver trusted, certified datasets and a robust semantic layer that powers BI,
- serve analytics, Intelligent Automation, and enterprise AI (via the AI Gateway/RAG).
The Data Product Owner, Distribution & Freight will operate through a
- impact triad – Data Product Owner - IA Pod Lead - Solution Architect – to translate business needs into scalable,
- driven Data Products with measurable value.
The Data Product Owner, Distribution & Freight will:
Product Strategy & Roadmap:
- Define the vision, OKRs, and roadmap for domain data products aligned with business KPIs (e. G. , OTIF, dwell time,

- serve);
- Prioritize demand into a clear backlog with value hypotheses and acceptance criteria, managing dependencies via PMO.
Data Product Delivery:
- Lead Analytics Engineering to build layered dbt models and a certified semantic layer;
- Ensure datasetsmeet standards for testing, documentation, ownership, SLAs, and deliver on performance, cost, and scalability targets.
Metrics & Trust:
- Own KPI definitions and prevent metric drift;
- Deliver a single source of truth through the semantic layer;
- Collaborate with Governance to meet data quality SLOs, lineage coverage, access policies, and enforce data contracts.
AI & Automation Enablement:
- Provide AI-ready features and certified sources for DS models and RAG ingestion;
- Align with AI Platform & Safety and IA/AI COE to embed insights into copilots and automations with proper guardrails.
Adoption & Change:
- Promote
- serve analytics through training, documentation, and usage tracking;
- Retire legacy reports, gather feedback, and iterate to improve decision speed and user satisfaction.
Security, Privacy & Compliance:
- Enforce secure access patterns (RBAC/ABAC), apply masking/pseudonymisation for sensitive data, and ensure compliance with retention/residency policies;
- Maintain
- ready evidence.
Vendor & Platform Collaboration:
- Coordinate with EPAM on data readiness and incident resolution;
- Ensure changes meet acceptance criteria;
- Guide EY and other partners to deliver within standards and hand over maintainable assets.
Reporting & Value Realisation:
- Track business impact with PMO (e. G. ,
- time reduction, cost savings, SLA adherence);
- Publish monthlyproduct scorecards to demonstrate value and progress.
What you will need to succeed
To succeed as a Data Product Owner, Distribution & Freight you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science , Information Systems , Data/Analytics , Statistics , Industrial Engineering or related (mandatory);
- Master’s Degreein Information Systems or Data/Analytics, or MBA in Analytics or Product focus (would be a plus);
- Certifications in dbt (Fundamentals/AE), Snowflake Snow
Pro , Databricks , Google/AWS , Power BI , Tableau , Looker/Look
ML , Scrum Product Owner , SAFe POPM (would be a plus);
- Credentials in Supply Chain , such as APICS/ASCM CPIM/CSCP (would be a plus);
- + 6 years of experience working in Analytics/Product roles , including +3 years owning data/BI products with measurable adoption and business impact;
- Proven deliveryof modeled datasets (dbt/SQL) , metrics layers , and high-adoption dashboards/self-serve ;
- Proven experience within data contracts , data quality/lineage , privacy for sensitive domains (HR/Legal), and partnering to operationalize models (batch/real-time or RAG) with the AI Platform team;
- Understanding of Supply Chain data – orders, shipments, lanes,

- serve and OTIF (would be a plus);
