Job Overview
As a Computer Vision Engineer, you will develop, implement and optimise computer vision algorithms and models for image and video analysis, extracting meaningful insights and creating innovative solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in computer vision, machine learning and data science, with a proven track record of successful projects.
Responsibilities
- Model & Algorithm Development: Design, develop and implement computer vision models & algorithms for object, event, change detection, recognition, segmentation and tracking.
- Model Training and Optimization: Train and optimise machine learning models using large datasets, ensuring high accuracy and performance.
- Data Preprocessing: Perform image augmentation and normalisation to prepare datasets for training and evaluation.
- Research and Innovation: Stay current with the latest advancements in computer vision and machine learning and apply new techniques to improve existing models and develop new solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, software developers, product managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Performance Evaluation: Evaluate the performance of computer vision models using appropriate metrics and techniques and iteratively improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Deployment: Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy computer vision models into production environments and ensure robustness and scalability.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of models, algorithms and processes for future reference and reproducibility.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. Ph. D. is a plus.
- Experience: 3+ years in Computer Vision Engineering.
- Language Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Portuguese and English (C2 level).
- Technical Skills:
- Strong programming in Python and C++.
- Experience with Open
CV, Tensor
Flow, Tensor
RT, Py
Torch, Keras. - Experience with ML tools such as Fifty
One and Clear
ML. - Experience with deep learning models such as YOLO.
- Proficiency in machine learning and deep learning frameworks.
- Experience with image and video processing techniques.
- Experience with experimentation platforms (e. g. , Jupyter Notebook).
- Knowledge of imaging sensors, optics, interfaces, data formats and video codecs.
- Knowledge of data preprocessing and augmentation techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Focus on Google Cloud.
- Experience in getting ML products to production.
- Basic knowledge of Dev
Ops (Git, CI/CD, telemetry, monitoring). - Analytical Skills: Excellent problem‑solving and innovative design.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills, able to explain complex concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
