Within the Data-as-a-Service (Daa
S) portfolio of the Data Intelligent & Automation Value Center, our mission is to become the central hub for all
- related activities across Siemens—including ingestion, understanding, curation, and distribution. In this sense, a Data Specialist plays a pivotal role in realizing this vision by focusing on promoting the creation of consumer and source aligned data products, on curating current data assets of the portfolio and on building knowledge across all data domains leveraging a sense of community and partnership among business and IT colleagues. This Data Specialist will also partner with the Portfolio lead to drive the future of the portfolio with the global aim of promoting a
- driven organization. Your mission will be… Design and build scalable data models, including
- domain integrations.
Responsibilities
- Enhance and optimize existing data products based on stakeholder feedback and evolving business needs.
- Maintain and continuously improve a comprehensive data product catalog.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, source system experts, and other teams to understand data flows and business processes.
- Serve as a key expert for data domain knowledge and data availability.
- Translate business requirements into actionable data solutions.
- Develop and promote documentation standards and best practices.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing across teams and domains.
- Build and energize communities of Data Domain Experts to foster collaboration and innovation.
- Act as a liaison between business and IT to ensure mutual understanding of data and processes.
Qualifications
- Strong stakeholder management and
- building capabilities. - Proven ability to collaborate across functions and geographies.
- Excellent communication skills, both technical and
- oriented. - Solid business acumen and understanding of enterprise processes.
- Analytical mindset with experience in process analysis.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, to ensure effective communication in a global environment.
- Adaptability to work in dynamic, evolving contexts and across diverse teams and data domains.
- Expertise in data modeling and architecture.
- Proficiency in data lineage mapping and impact analysis.
- Experience managing and maintaining data catalogs and metadata repositories.
