We are seeking an AI Trainer – Portuguese Language Specialist to join our team on a freelance, remote basis. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in linguistics and natural language processing (NLP), with native or
- native proficiency in Portuguese. This role involves training, evaluating, and refining AI language models to ensure
- quality, culturally accurate, and linguistically sound outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and revise linguistically rich content in Portuguese, including grammar guides, syntactic analyses, and usage examples for NLP pipelines.
• Identify and resolve issues related to ambiguity, grammaticality, and bias in AI-generated Portuguese content.
• Review and assess outputs from large language models (LLMs) for tone, fluency, accuracy, and appropriateness in Portuguese.
• Annotate linguistic datasets with semantic, syntactic, and pragmatic labels.
• Conduct linguistic research to support ongoing AI and NLP projects.
• Apply linguistic knowledge to analyze model behavior and suggest improvements based on error patterns.
• Collaborate with
  - functional teams to ensure Portuguese language quality across diverse applications.

Requirements

• Native or
  - native proficiency in Portuguese (spoken and written).
• Excellent analytical,
  - solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and deliver results within agreed timelines.
• Fluency in English is preferred for
  - team collaboration.
