Required skills for this position

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer
• 3–9 years designing and implementing scalable, data‑driven software and services using Big Data technologies.
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of data storages (relational databases, key‑value stores), data warehouses, data lakes, and data lakehouses.
• Possesses hands‑on experience with Spark, Python, Java, or Scala for both real‑time and batch data processing.
• Proven experience in building and optimizing large‑scale data pipelines using Spark in cloud environments.
• Experienced working with Google Cloud Platform services such as Big
  Query, Big
  Table, Dataproc, GCS, Composer, and GKE, as well as low‑code/no‑code ETL tools (e. g. , YAML‑based).
• Strong experience with SQL and Business Intelligence tools; knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Power BI is a plus.
• Familiar with workflow orchestration platforms (e. g. , Airflow) and collaborative environments (e. g. , Jupyter).
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (SAFe/Scrum), CI/CD processes, Dev
  Ops practices, and QA tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, XLRelease, and XLDeploy.
• Fluency in English (minimum B2 level) is mandatory.
• Hybrid position, requiring on‑site presence twice a week in Porto.
• Familiarity with Information Retrieval, Information Extraction, and AI/Machine Learning concepts and technologies is considered a plus.
