**ABOUT THE PROJECT**The client is a leader in the fire protection industry, offering coast to coast fire and life safety services that have been trusted for 75 years. Originally based in the southeast, we have rapidly expanded our service areas and now have branches across the country protecting America’s communities. They offer a variety of fire detection, suppression, and protection products and services for businesses of all sizes. We are a certified supplier for most major manufacturers in the fire protection industry including Amerex, Ansul, Buckeye, Pyro-Chem, and many more. **RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Devise PL/SQL based stored procedures, triggers, views, complex queries, and scripts as needed;



- Serve as Database Administrator, independently working closely with Developers, IT Architects, System Administrators, Network and Project Management to ensure all database system needs and requests are met;



- Provide Data Management operational support for all agency database systems;



- Perform DBA support, Analysis & Design, Development, Installation, Data Guard, Database and Application server upgrades, Performance Tuning and Migration skills;



- Document all maintenance tasks;



- Research data technology while also consulting and mentoring on this topic. **WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE**:
- A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, business administration or commerce or a combination of equivalent experience;



- Experience with SQL, Postgre
SQL, My
SQL is preferred;



- Required - Progress Software Open
Edge Platform - to convert data in here to a My
SQL database format (SQL);



- Working in environments such as HPUX 11i, Windows & Windows Server up to the latest version, SQL Developer, Shell Scripting, Oracle 11g, 12c;
