Responsibilities

• Administer DB2 for z/OS database environments;
• Provide support to applications and production systems (24x7 availability when required);
• Ensure application and subsystem performance optimization;
• Apply fixes, patches, and upgrades to DB2 environments;
• Collaborate with application teams to troubleshoot and improve database performance;
• Guarantee availability, reliability, and integrity of DB2 systems.

What are we looking for?

• 5+ years of professional experience with DB2 for z/OS;
• Strong expertise in DB2 for z/OS administration and related utilities (LOAD, REORG, COPY, etc. );
• Proficiency with query and reporting tools (SPUFI, QMF);
• Knowledge of IT operations in large enterprise environments;
• Strong
  - solving skills, organizational ability, and resilience under stress;
• Willingness to provide 24x7 support when required;
• Team-oriented mindset with effective communication skills;
• Experience with Mainview monitoring tools and DB2 Admin utilities, as well as workload automation using Control-M, and change management with Endevor and HPSM are considered a plus;
• Additionally, knowledge of data modeling with Power
  Designer, replication tools such as IBM CDC, and programming in COBOL with familiarity in CICS environments are considered a plus;
• Written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese (C1 or above);
• Candidates must be based in Portugal and possess either European citizenship or a valid Work Visa/Residence Card – mandatory requirement;
