Link platform, and scalable client interfaces for navigating complex ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Managing locking, process blocking and performance tuning of databases
• Creating and maintaining a
  - availability and
  -
  - friendly architecture
• Managing, optimizing, testing and verifying backup and restoration processes
• Creating and maintaining monitoring and metrics tooling and dashboards for
  - level and granular insight into database performance and operation
• Managing infrastructure in a preventative manner to avoid future issues and mitigate incidents
• Handling support tickets when necessary and backing up peers
• Developing and deploying new database objects and changes to existing objects (tables, stored procedures, views, etc. )
• Creating complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development
• Designing, developing and maintaining complex relational database reports using SSRS

Minimum qualifications

• Advanced understanding of relational database architecture/infrastructure, specifically MSSQL
• Knowledge of SSMS, SSRS, and support tooling
• Knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures, and
  -
  - day DB functions
• Advanced knowledge of optimizing MSSQL and supporting HA/DR
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, application integration techniques, and relational database design
• Experience with Always On High Availability Groups is a plus
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and break down complex problems
• Ability to choose appropriate tasks relative to workload
• Understand and implement best practices balanced with team standards
• Clear communication of ideas to manager and peers
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Experience with cloud database storage technologies
