Responsibilities :

• Manage and optimize SQL Server (Azure Managed Instance), Postgre
  SQL on Kubernetes, and Elasticsearch clusters.
• Proactively tune performance, analyze queries, and resolve bottlenecks to ensure high availability and throughput.
• Collaborate on observability practices using Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack to ensure database visibility and reliability.
• Ensure robust backup and recovery strategies, including disaster recovery for both managed and containerized environments.
• Apply best practices in database security, access control, encryption, and audit logging to maintain compliance.
• Work closely with developers and infrastructure teams to define data architecture and deployment standards.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation on database standards, procedures, troubleshooting, and performance metrics.
• Understand and troubleshoot networking elements within Azure, including v
  Nets, subnets, DNS, and routing.

Profile sought :

Experience:

• 3 to 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
• Proven expertise with SQL Server (ideally Azure SQL Managed Instance) and Postgre
  SQL.
• Hands-on experience managing Postgre
  SQL and Elasticsearch in Kubernetes.
• Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
• Solid understanding of Azure networking and database
  - availability strategies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in distributed systems.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Fluent in English (Portuguese is a plus).

Technical Skills:

• Kubernetes tools (Helm, Kustomize, kubectl, k9s) – nice to have
• Ia
  C tools like Terraform or Bicep – nice to have
• Scripting in Bash, Power
  Shell, or Python – nice to have
• CI/CD pipeline exposure – nice to have
• Awareness of data governance and compliance best practices
• Basic familiarity with application development and ORMs – nice to have
