Position Overview: Experienced Database administrator that serves as a senior technical specialist who design, implements, maintains and optimizes enterprise database environments across multiple platforms including Microsoft SQL server, My
SQL, and Postgre
SQL, while providing strategic direction for data management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and optimize My
  SQL and Postgre
  SQL databases alongside MS SQL Server
• Familiarity with tools and utilities specific to My
  SQL and Postgre
  SQL
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize queries across different SQL dialects
• Design scalable database infrastructures
• Resolve complex performance bottlenecks in
  - scale environments
• Design and implement HA/DR architectures
• Create, change, delete user accounts and manage the roles
• Configure and monitoring DB backups and perform restorations
• Oversee major version upgrades and migrations
• Implement database changes with minimal business impact
• Participation in the projects, translation of business requirements and implementation
• Troubleshooting of problems, problem analysis and solution implementation
• Create and maintain enterprise database documentation
• Build knowledge repositories for troubleshooting and best practices
• Evaluate database technologies and licensing options
• Performance monitoring and tuning
• Help Investigate the root cause of incidents and initiate actions to improve or correct the situation
• Participation on
  - call duties, independent solving and troubleshooting of incidents and errors within defined expertise

Key Requirements:

• 5 to 8 years
  - on technical experience administering databases
• Other experience in IT infrastructure technologies will be considered
• Ability to engage, motivate and inspire others to achieve a
  - level result from a large and diverse group
• Tenacious
  - solving abilities to see issues through to resolution
• Ability to independently take ownership, present, demonstrate, document to deliver new projects
• Experience with cloud database platforms

Education/ Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT
• Certifications in My
  SQL or Postgre
  SQL are a plus
