A rapidly growing EV charging operator is entering its next phase of expansion and is seeking a highly dynamic, commercially focused Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the business through scale‑up and national network growth.
This is an exceptional opportunity to take full strategic and commercial ownership of an established EV infrastructure platform as it accelerates its public fast‑charging network and private‑network partnerships across Portugal.
About the Role
The CEO will drive overall strategy, commercial success, operational excellence, and investor engagement. This position is ideal for an entrepreneurial leader with strong sales capability, proven P&L responsibility, and experience scaling technology, mobility, or energy‑related operations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute long‑term strategy for national network expansion and commercial growth.
- Lead the evolution from a small organisation into a structured, scalable business.
- Implement operational frameworks and high‑performing processes to support growth.
Commercial & Partnership Growth
- Act as the commercial face of the organisation, securing high‑value partnerships.
- Engage with municipalities, commercial property owners, private operators, and strategic stakeholders.
- Drive revenue growth through competitive positioning and strong market relationships.
- Full P&L ownership and responsibility for business performance.
- Oversee daily operations, especially in early stages with limited support structure.
- Build and scale the team, ensuring talent and structure align with growth phases.
Investor & Board Engagement
- Provide clear reporting on performance, forecasts, and strategic direction.
- Build trust and alignment with shareholders and investors.
Experience & Qualifications
- Senior leadership experience (CEO, Country Manager, Commercial Director, etc. ).
- Proven track record in fast‑growth sectors such as mobility, energy, telecoms, infrastructure, or technology.
- Demonstrated success with P&L management and business performance.
- Strong commercial background with ability to generate major partnerships.
- Fluent English; Portuguese is a strong advantage.
- Lisbon‑based or willing to relocate.
- Experience in EV charging, energy infrastructure, mobility services, or related fields.
- Background in scaling startups or leading organisations through transition or acquisition.

Chief Operating Officer

Our client is a leading, global tech‑first, B2C travel/ecommerce business. Having scaled the operations across twenty‑six countries globally and recently secured significant institutional investment, the business are seeking a Chief Operating Officer to lead the company’s global commercial and operational strategy at a time of significant scale.
This is a hands‑on leadership role that requires a rare blend of strategic thinking, operational depth, and cultural adaptability. The successful candidate will take ownership of the full P&L, lead cross‑functional teams across Europe, and oversee the launch and delivery of new product lines.
Key Objectives
- Oversee the daily business operations and improve operating procedures for optimal efficiency.
- Assess and enhance the efficiency of internal and external operational processes in HQ and subsidiaries.
- Lead and motivate staff to achieve sales and organisational objectives.
- Continuously evaluate company performance, analysing internal operations and identifying areas for process enhancement.
- Develop actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short‑term and long‑term objectives developed in tandem with the CEO.
- Partner with the CEO on sales and financial management so that sufficient investment can be budgeted to achieve growth targets in the near term.
- Monitor and report performance with tracking software, take corrective measures when necessary, and prepare detailed current reports and forecasts.
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, suppliers, partners, and stakeholders.
Criteria / Requirements
- Clear involvement in scaling businesses through 8‑figure revenue growth.
- Comfort leading in complex, tech‑enabled environments with logistics layers.
- Experience working closely with founders or as the “right hand” to a CEO.
- Familiarity with supply/demand balancing, service consistency, and customer journey mapping.
- Led large, distributed teams (100+ FTEs) across Sales, Ops, CS, etc.
- Experience driving process improvements, cost efficiencies, and automation.
- Comfortable using data to inform decisions and track results.
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Portugal Branch
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of our Portuguese branch. This pivotal role requires a dynamic individual with a deep understanding of financial management and regulatory compliance to support our growing organisation.
Reporting to the Country CEO and with a local team based in Lisbon, your key responsibilities will be:
- Financial Management: Oversee all local financial operations, cash flow management, and financial reporting. Ensure accurate and timely financial data is available for decision‑making.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and requirements, including the preparation and submission of regulatory reports to Banco de Portugal, such as Credit Reporting Center (CRC) submissions and financial statements.
- Tax Management: Accountable for preparation and submission of all tax reporting and declarations, such as VAT or Corporate Tax, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
- Audit Coordination: Responsible for overseeing audit exercises, leading interactions with external auditors, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate outcomes and adherence to deadlines.
- Legal Representative: Work alongside the Country CEO as the legal representative of the entity in Portugal, representing the company in legal matters, and operating with the support of a comprehensive insurance policy.
Requirements
- Experience: Extensive experience in senior financial management roles, preferably within the regulatory environment of the financial regulated sector. Start‑up experiences will be highly valued.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e. g. , CPA, CFA) is highly desirable.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in Portuguese, with proficiency in English. Spanish valued.
- Technical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and financial management software.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting and operations.
- Startup Mindset: Exceptional strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills. Proven ability to thrive in dynamic, fast‑paced environments, adapting to changing circumstances and driving continuous improvement.
