Qualitest, a global quality engineering enterprise, seeks an experienced Defect Manager with over 10 years in large‑scale QA & defect management. This full‑time, hybrid position is based in Lisbon, Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Own and define the defect approach and strategy.
• Manage defect process ensuring compliance by all teams.
• Review new defects to ensure complete information/evidence.
• Triage defects with stakeholders to assign appropriate severity and priority.
• Communicate defect impact to all relevant teams.
• Coordinate with development on defect fix dates aligned to SLAs/project milestones.
• Coordinate defect retests with testing teams aligned to SLAs/project milestones.

Requirements

• Experience in QA/defect management for large‑scale projects.
• Ability to analyze defect patterns and recommend preventive actions.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and defect‑management processes.
• Hands‑on experience with JIRA, Zephyr, Azure Dev
  Ops or similar tools.
• ISTQB Foundation Certificate.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and conflict‑resolution skills.
• High proficiency in English (spoken and written).
