Role Overview

We are looking for a De
Fi Researcher with a profound understanding of decentralized finance and blockchain. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills,
- depth knowledge of key De
Fi protocols, and technical expertise in Python and SQL for both
- chain and
- chain data analysis. Excellent communication skills in English are required. This is a fully remote position.

Key Responsibilities

• Deep Dive & Innovate: Conduct
  - depth research and sophisticated modeling of De
  Fi protocols (including lending, DEXs, stablecoins, derivatives, liquid staking,
  - staking, etc. ), their underlying economic models, governance structures, and security considerations
• Quantitative Analysis & Risk Assessment: Design and execute quantitative studies to assess protocol performance and identify potential risks (e. g. , economic, smart contract…)
• Data-Driven Mindset: Develop and maintain automated reports, dynamic live dashboards, and compelling visualizations (using Python and SQL) to communicate key metrics and insights effectively
• Translating Complex Insights: Produce clear, concise, and
  - structured research documentation, executive summaries, and presentations tailored for diverse audiences, from technical engineering teams to
  - technical executive leadership
• Stay Ahead of the Curve: Proactively monitor the rapidly evolving De
  Fi ecosystem, including new De
  Fi primitives and upcoming blockchains

Requirements

• Proven De
  Fi Expertise: You have significant, demonstrable experience conducting
  - depth research within the De
  Fi space, covering areas such as lending protocols, AMMs/DEXs, stablecoins, yield farming, MEV, etc
• Strong Financial Knowledge: You possess a solid understanding of core financial concepts, including interest rate dynamics, derivative instruments, collateralization mechanisms, risk management, and tokenomics
• Python Power User: Highly proficient in Python for data analysis, modeling, and scripting (Pandas, Num
  Py, Sci
  Py, Jupyter Notebooks, etc. )
• Exceptional Communicator: You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to distill complex topics into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders
• Deeply Passionate & Curious: You are genuinely fascinated by De
  Fi, blockchain technology, and decentralized systems, constantly seeking to learn and explore
• Proactive & Collaborative: A
  - starter who thrives in a
  - paced, dynamic environment, takes ownership, and enjoys working collaboratively to achieve shared goals.
• Global Team Player: Ability to effectively collaborate with a distributed team, with significant working hour overlap with EST (North American East Coast) and CET (Central European Time) timezones.

Nice to Have

• A background in traditional finance (e. g. , quantitative trading, investment research) or macroeconomic analysis.
• Familiarity with
  - chain data tools such as web3py, block explorers, Dune, Nansen, etc
• Familiarity with smart contract languages (Solidity) or blockchain data structures at a conceptual level.
• Active participation in De
  Fi governance, DAOs, or contributions to
  - source De
  Fi projects.
• Experience with data visualization tools
• Experience operationalizing research: managing automated data pipelines, DBs, and cloud environments
• Active accounts on Github, blogposts or X with content related to De
  Fi
