The Role:
As a Delivery Assurance Lead, you will be a key contributor to the successful execution of the tribe’s product delivery roadmap. This role focuses on aligning
- level initiatives with strategic objectives, managing dependencies, tracking progress, and mitigating risks to ensure timely and impactful delivery. Working closely with tribe leadership and Agile Coaches, the Delivery Assurance Lead drives clarity, prioritisation, and continuous improvement within the tribe, while providing actionable insights to stakeholders and the Delivery Assurance Manager.
What You'll be Doing:
Roadmap Development and Maintenance: Create, update, and maintain the tribe’s product delivery roadmap, ensuring it reflects strategic priorities, dependencies, and deployment timelines. Collaborate with product & technology directors to align the roadmap with the broader product strategy.
Prioritisation: Partner with tribe leaders to prioritise initiatives based on business value, user needs, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment.
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate the roadmap vision, progress, and updates to stakeholders, including product and tech leadership, marketing, and commercial teams. Facilitate tribe governance forums to ensure alignment on direction and timelines.
Dependency Management: Identify and manage
- level dependencies between squads or product components within the tribe.
Progress Tracking: Monitor progress against the tribe roadmap, spotting delays, bottlenecks, or scope changes, and work with tribe leadership to adjust timelines or resources as needed.
Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate
- level risks (e. g. , resource constraints, technical debt, market changes, regulatory shifts), collaborating with tribe leadership and project/programme managers.
Capacity Forecasting: Review and advise on capacity management and resource allocation to ensure squads can meet roadmap commitments.
Reporting: Provide regular updates on roadmap execution and delivery health to tribe leadership, the Delivery Assurance Manager, and governance boards, using UKI-aligned metrics.
Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with Agile Coaches to identify trends and opportunities for improvement across squads and the tribe. Define and track key performance metrics for delivery success (e. g. , throughput, quality, timeliness), using these to drive enhancements, inform stakeholders, and guide
- making. Monitor Jira data quality, ensuring squads provide accurate and consistent inputs.
What You’ll Bring:
Proven experience in delivery coordination, project management, or a similar role within a
- focused environment.
Strong understanding of Agile principles and delivery practices, with experience working in tribe or squad structures.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and align diverse stakeholders.
Analytical mindset, comfortable defining and using metrics to track performance and identify improvements.
Proficiency with tools like Jira for roadmap tracking and data quality oversight.
Ability to manage dependencies, mitigate risks, and adapt to changing priorities.
Collaborative approach, with experience partnering with leadership and
- functional teams.
