Emagine is currently looking for a Backend Engineer to join a
- term assignment with one of our clients in the fintech sector. This client is a
- growing company based in Portugal, focused on delivering an
-
- one digital platform to support entrepreneurs and small businesses in managing their daily operations — from certified invoicing to payments, expenses, and accounting. This is a strategic position where you will work alongside a highly skilled engineering team to design and maintain scalable, modern APIs and backend services that are the foundation of a financial platform used by thousands of users.

Your main responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain robust APIs using Node. js and Type
  Script
• Work with serverless architectures (AWS Lambdas)
• Integrate
  - party services and manage backend logic for financial operations
• Apply testing best practices (unit and integration) using Jest
• Contribute to backend architecture and technical
  - making
• Ensure code quality and performance via CI/CD pipelines
• Work collaboratively with PMs, designers, and developers in an agile,
  - functional environment

You bring:

• At least 3 years of experience in API development with Node. js and Type
  Script
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies and tools (e. g. , Jest)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and backend best practices
• Familiarity with AWS and serverless technologies is highly valued
• A mindset focused on quality, scalability, and ownership
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a hybrid setup
• Fluency in English
