Scope: Design & Construction Engineer – Life Sciences Industry
We are looking for Engineers to join our team in Lisbon, integrating our Consultancy and Engineering department. This team supports industrial clients through services and projects related to Design, Engineering, Implementation, and Validation of complex industrial facilities.
We seek professionals with strong technical skills and experience in engineering design and construction site management, motivated to take part in multidisciplinary projects from concept to completion.
As a Design & Construction Engineer, you will be involved in the design, coordination, and execution of industrial projects, ensuring technical excellence, compliance with safety and quality standards, and alignment with client requirements. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver
- quality engineering solutions within scope, budget, and schedule.

Functions:
- Develop overall concepts for facility layout and specifications, including HVAC and utilities.
- Design HVAC systems and utilities, including Compressed Air, Industrial Steam, Sanitary Water and others.
- Prepare and review technical documentation for the above systems, such as implementation drawings, P&IDs, bills of quantities, technical specifications, and other relevant documentation.
- Manage construction sites, including daily coordination of contractors and installers, monitoring project schedules, conducting periodic construction meetings, and ensuring work aligns with plans.
- Conduct
- site verification of facility construction, covering the installation of HVAC systems and utilities. - Support commissioning and qualification activities, including preparation of documentation and execution of
- site testing. - Present and discuss project solutions with clients and internal teams to ensure alignment and optimal outcomes.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or other relevant disciplines).
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Proven experience in similar engineering or construction projects.
- Solid knowledge of HVAC systems and industrial utilities.
- Experience preparing and reviewing technical documentation for engineering projects, including implementation drawings, P&IDs, bills of quantities, technical specifications, etc.
- Proficiency in Auto
CAD. - Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Non-essential qualifications that will be valued:
- Experience with REVIT MEP or Plan 3D.
- Understanding of GMP regulations and best practices relevant to the design and engineering of pharmaceutical facilities.
