KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Design & Technology teacher(s) in the preparation and delivery of lessons.
- Set up tools, equipment, and materials for practical classes and ensure workspaces are safe, tidy, and ready for use.
- Manage stock levels, order supplies as needed, and track inventory.
- Assist students during practical sessions
- Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are met
- Support in the design, manufacture, and maintenance of displays, teaching aids, and learning resources.
- Stay updated on new tools, materials, and best practices in Design & Technology education
- Provide
- on support for minor maintenance and repair tasks across the school premises. - Collaborate with the Facilities team to ensure the smooth daily operation of the school environment.
- Assist in setting up furniture, equipment, or resources for school events or logistical needs.
- Help identify and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Relevant technical qualifications or experience in Design & Technology or a similar field (e. g. engineering, carpentry, electronics, or product design).
- Strong organisational and practical skills.
- A good understanding of tools, machines, and materials used in a school D&T setting.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety standards and a proactive approach to safe working practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Enthusiastic,
- on, and keen to support a creative learning environment. - Availability for a
- time position with a combination of D&T and facilities support responsibilities
