Role Description

This is an
- site/remote contract role for a Design Engineer, located in Porto, Portugal.

The engineer will support the design and development of the company's prototype and future aircraft models.

Daily work involves:

• Detailed structural and composite design in
  
  Siemens NX / Fiber
  Sim
• Development of
  
  lay-up books, laminate manuals, jigs, and molds
• Structural sizing and FEM support for weight optimization
• Collaboration with the manufacturing team during
  
  lay-up, curing, and assembly
  
  phases

The role also includes documenting the

manufacturing workflow

(Plybook and Composite Layup Guide) and working closely with
- functional teams to ensure performance, quality, and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Degree in
  
  Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering
  
  , or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of
  
  composite materials
  
  and
  
  aerospace structures
• Proficiency in
  
  Siemens NX
  
  and
  
  Fiber
  Sim
  
  (essential)
• Experience creating
  
  lay-up books, laminate manuals
  
  , and
  
  composite tooling/jigs
• Familiarity with
  
  FEM-based structural sizing and optimization
• Good understanding of
  
  composite manufacturing processes
  
  (hand
  - up, vacuum bagging, curing)
• Team-oriented, proactive, and
  - on approach to prototype work
• Prior experience in UAV or
  - aircraft design is an advantage
