Role Description – Developer Sales Engineer (Lisbon, Portugal)
We are seeking a "Developer Sales Engineer" to join our Lisbon office and play a pivotal role in expanding adoption of our file storage and file transfer/sharing solutions. This hybrid role requires both technical expertise and sales acumen, you'll act as the bridge between our engineering team and our clients, helping prospects understand the technical value while driving revenue through new and existing relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Own the technical sales cycle:
Collaborate with account executives and directly with prospects to scope, present, and deliver technical solutions tailored to client needs.
Demonstrate & integrate:
Build and present live demos, proofs of concept, and integration walkthroughs using APIs, SDKs, and cloud platforms.
Client engagement
: Work closely with CTOs, engineers, and
- makers to translate business needs into technical solutions, highlighting cost savings and performance improvements.
Leverage relationships:
Use your existing client network and industry contacts to introduce our solutions to companies that rely on
- scale file storage or transfer/sharing.
Solution design:
Guide prospects on best practices for deploying our technology, ensuring compliance, security, and scalability.
Feedback loop:
Capture client insights and relay them to product and engineering teams to influence roadmap and continuous improvement.
Revenue impact:
Actively support closing opportunities, helping the sales team achieve and exceed targets.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a
- sales engineer, solutions engineer, or developer sales engineer role (or similar). - Strong technical background, with
- on experience in
- based platforms, APIs, SDKs, or integration projects. - Solid understanding of file storage, file transfer, or
- sharing solutions and related cost models. - Existing network of clients or industry contacts who could benefit from significant cost savings in storage/transfer.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical solutions to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
- Track record of supporting enterprise deals and contributing directly to revenue growth.
- Fluent in English (Portuguese a plus).
