About the Role

Data Stack Management & Evolution (50%)

• Maintain, optimize, and scale Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake)
• Optimize SQL queries and datasets for client reporting (Metabase)
• Improve the data pipeline: My
  SQL → S3 → Databricks via Airbyte
• Manage data modeling and governance
• Collaborate with Product, Dev
  Ops, and Data teams to create
  - performance datasets

Dev
Ops & Monitoring (50%)

• Oversee and reduce Databricks costs through detailed log analysis
• Implement best practices in Data
  Ops (CI/CD, monitoring, tuning)
• Ensure the reliability and maintenance of data pipelines
• Work with AWS and Azure in collaboration with the Dev
  Ops team
• Set up technical documentation and knowledge sharing

Artificial Intelligence & Predictive (Phase 2)

• Utilize Databricks-' AI features for predictive analysis
• Work with the Data Science team on advanced use cases

Technical stack and tools

• Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake) – Expertise required
• Airbyte for ETL

• Metabase for data visualization

What
- 'll bring to the Team

• 5+ years in Data Engineering, with expertise in Databricks and/or Spark
• SQL expertise: Ability to optimize queries for high volume
• Advanced proficiency in Spark & Databricks (Delta Lake, optimizations, cost, scalability)
• Dev
  Ops / Data
  Ops culture: monitoring, cost control, automation
• Analytical and performance optimization skills
• Experience with reporting and BI (Metabase or similar)
• Good communication skills to work with Product and Dev
  Ops teams
• English is mandatory - French is a plus
