Ops Engineer (m/f/d) role at Siemens.

Siemens Mobility provides integrated mobility solutions for urban, interurban, and logistics transportation of passengers and goods.

Using the Mobility Data Analytics portfolio, we understand passengers' wishes and preferences to optimize mobility services. Starting with data from Journey Planning Systems, we derive detailed mobility patterns throughout city transit networks. We deploy applications that provide
- driven insights for operations and planning, such as vehicle occupancy prediction and capacity planning.

Our goal is to enhance the passenger experience through our combined efforts for the future of mobility.

Your Tasks:

• Serve as the primary contact for customer technical inquiries related to our software, including automation of build/deploy processes and hosting on Amazon Cloud.
• Ensure the smooth operation of parts of the overall system.
• Develop strategies for deploying and operating our software systems collaboratively with development teams.
• Manage technology and processes for application monitoring.
• Identify and resolve operational issues.
• Conduct customer training sessions.

The ideal profile:

• Completed IT training (system integration or application development) or a degree in computer science, or extensive experience.
• Experience in administration, orchestration, and handling toolchains.
• Proficiency with Linux OS.
• Knowledge of Linux and networks is advantageous.
• Knowledge of cloud computing is advantageous.
• Familiarity with container technologies (e. g. , Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience in shell scripting.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Independent, meticulous work style.
• Strong service mentality, good communication and teamwork skills, and a
  - on approach.
• Fluent English skills; knowledge of additional languages (e. g. , French, Swedish) is advantageous.
