DevOps Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a talented Dev
Ops Engineer to enhance our Developer Experience (Dev
X) team at Riskified. This remote work engineering position involves both Dev
Ops and development responsibilities, focusing on creating and managing internal tools, infrastructure, and services to optimize engineering processes and speed up delivery throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable, and secure software deployments.
• Enhance our Kubernetes ecosystem, contributing to our custom operator and other essential services.
• Develop and manage infrastructure components using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, and Helm.
• Create and maintain internal microservices to enhance platform capabilities and improve developer workflows.
• Optimize internal tool utilization, including Retool, for efficient internal app and dashboard creation.
• Implement and refine observability practices through comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Work collaboratively with other software engineers to identify challenges and develop scalable, automated solutions.
• Promote and implement Dev
  Ops best practices, including Git
  Ops, progressive delivery, and
  - left testing across teams.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Dev
  Ops Engineer, SRE, or Backend Engineer role.
• Advanced programming skills in Python, Go, or another modern programming language.
• Proven expertise with Kubernetes, including experience in developing custom controllers or operators.
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Pulumi, and Helm.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git
  Lab CI, Circle
  CI, or Argo Workflows.
• Strong familiarity with cloud services from providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Exceptional ownership qualities with a focus on reliability, scalability, and the impact on developer productivity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in internal developer platforms or Dev
  X teams.
• Knowledge of diverse testing strategies including unit, integration,

  - end, performance, and smoke tests.
