Role Overview:

We are looking for a Dev
Ops Engineer to join one of our major clients, a technology consultancy with headquarters in Lisbon and projects across Europe, North America, and South America, specialized in IT consulting, application performance, and systems optimization for sectors such as telecommunications, banking, insurance, and public administration.

What you will do:

• Plan and execute Kubernetes upgrades according to an agreed schedule with the client team.

• Provide support across three major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Assess feasibility for supporting upcoming Kubernetes versions.

• Review, approve, and execute ICRs.

• Research, prototype, and implement ways to reduce the effort of Kubernetes upgrades.

• Ensure upgrades without downtime for Elasticsearch nodes.

• Update cloud integrations alongside Kubernetes clusters.

• Detect disruptive API changes in Kubernetes ahead of time and evaluate their impact.

What you are like:

• Academic background in Computer Engineering or similar.

• Proven experience with at least one public cloud (preferably AWS, but Azure or GCP also considered).

• Hands-on experience in Dev
Ops projects with:

– Terraform or similar Ia
C tool.

– CI/CD tools (Azure Dev
Ops, Jenkins, Flux
CD, Argo
CD, or others).

– Kubernetes and containerization technologies.

• Fluent in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience in upgrading Elasticsearch workloads in Kubernetes.

• Cloud certification.

• Background in software development projects.

• Networking knowledge.

• Experience with Argo
CD.

• Experience with Spot. io.
