Ops Engineer - Train Planning Systems Live (m/f/d) role at Siemens

We are seeking an experienced Dev
Ops Engineer to join our team responsible for the development and operations of our train planning systems, TPS. live.
About the role:
In this role, you will automate and optimize the software delivery lifecycle, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our train planning applications and infrastructure. You will collaborate with software development, IT operations, and business teams to drive continuous improvement and deliver
- quality, innovative solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Support automation of application lifecycle through build, test, stage, and production environments using Dev
Ops and continuous delivery/deployment best practices. - Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for train planning applications.
- Manage and optimize infrastructure (on-premises and cloud).
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate Dev
Ops practices into the software development lifecycle. - Automate provisioning, configuration, and management of environments.
- Ensure security, compliance, and reliability of systems and infrastructure.
- Analyze performance metrics for optimization.
- Document processes and best practices.
- Participate in
- call rotations and incident response to ensure system availability.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a Dev
Ops Engineer or similar role. - Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e. g. , Python, Bash, Go).
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e. g. , Terraform, Ansible, Cloud
Formation). - Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and tools like Jenkins, Git
Lab CI. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and high availability solutions.
- Knowledge of Rabbit
MQ and advanced My
SQL (version>5. 7). - Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Kibana).
- Excellent
- solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in transportation or logistics, especially train planning, is a plus.
- Certifications in cloud, Dev
Ops, or ITSM are a plus.
