Your Role
We are seeking a Senior Die Cast Design Engineer to lead the integration of casting as a new manufacturing method across complex mechanical systems. This role will focus on evaluating, designing, and implementing die casting solutions for
- component assemblies, with a strong emphasis on feasibility,
- effectiveness, and supplier collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Feasibility Analysis: Assess which components can be transitioned to casting based on cost, time, and performance.
- Design & Simulation: Create and validate 2D/3D designs for casted parts using CAD and simulation tools.
- Casting Methodology: Apply knowledge of Low Pressure Die Casting, High Pressure Die Casting, Wax Casting, and Investment Casting to optimize part design.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage casting suppliers globally, ensuring quality and delivery standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with design, manufacturing, and procurement teams to integrate casting into product development.
- Critical Thinking: Provide expert judgment on casting feasibility, risks, and
- offs. - Testing & Validation: Support prototype development, testing, and iterative design improvements.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in die casting, preferably in automotive, aerospace, or
- tech machinery. - Proficiency in CAD (Solid
Works, CATIA, or similar) and casting simulation software. - Strong understanding of casting processes and materials.
- Experience working with global suppliers and manufacturing teams.
- Good
- solving and critical thinking skills. - Strong communication and English fluency.
