About the role
We are a
- growing food
- up, and we’re looking for a driven Sales Executive to accelerate our expansion in Portugal and Spain. This role is critical in driving store expansion, increasing product penetration, and acquiring new retail clients.
You will lead customer acquisition efforts, strengthen relationships with existing accounts, and execute trade marketing initiatives to drive
- store success. You will also analyse sales data and market trends to ensure we maximise opportunities in a competitive landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Expansion & Account Management
- Secure new retail listings and expand our presence in key supermarket chains, independent retailers, and specialised stores.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail buyers, category managers, and key
- makers. - Develop and execute tailored sales strategies to increase brand visibility and product penetration.
Trade Marketing & In-Store Execution
- Plan and execute
- store activations, including promotional campaigns, sampling, and merchandising. - Ensure strong
- store execution, including optimal shelf positioning and stock availability. - Monitor the effectiveness of trade marketing initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
Performance & Market Analysis
- Track sales performance by channel, account, and region, ensuring KPIs are met.
- Analyse sales data, consumer insights, and market trends to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to the leadership team.
Distributor & Partner Management
- Manage relationships with distributors, ensuring they are aligned with sales objectives and driving growth in the right channels.
- Work closely with partners to optimise distribution, pricing, and promotional strategies.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in FMCG sales, with a focus on retail expansion and trade marketing in Portugal (and Spain as a bonus).
- Proven track record in securing retail listings and growing accounts.
- Strong negotiation and
- building skills. - Experience managing trade marketing activities, including
- store activations and promotions. - Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse sales trends and market insights.
- Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a

- up environment.
