Director- Building Consultancy
Director- Building Consultancy role at JLL. Based in Lisbon, reporting to the Head of Project & Development Services in Portugal, working with JLL's functional teams and business unit stakeholders to deliver customer needs and program goals.
As a key member of JLL, a successful candidate will be responsible for Building Consulting services, supporting JLL's organizational goals and objectives through efforts to:
- Act as a motivational leader with a focus on the delivery of strategic solutions;
- Connecting all various business lines to lead
- functional teams and create reliable integrated services to transform the Real Estate through
- added technical consulting services; - Create strategic partnerships and alliances to support the completion of strategic objectives in business diversification and expansion;
- Enhancing key client objectives to the highest international standards with emphasis on technical due diligence, project monitoring, technical feasibility, sustainability, quality, safety, health and environment;
- A collaborative team player with the intellect, vision and drive to promote fresh approaches to drive innovation and efficiency across the business;

- Leverage functional interdependencies.
Responsibilities
- Developing and managing Business Strategy and objectives in line with JLL ambitions;
- Defining and owning the financial responsibilities of the Building Consulting services;
- Developing a business to grow in the following segments: technical due diligence, project monitoring and technical feasibility;
- Developing internal partnerships with the Strategic Consulting and Sustainability teams in order to pursue joint business opportunities;
- Developing synergies with other BUs to enhance JLL positioning and market share;

- end consultancy solutions for landlords (developers, investors) and occupiers alike; - Exhibiting a complete understanding of the company's corporate governance policies and procedures and ensuring they are adhered to within the workgroup;
- Manage the overall success building consulting activities, including, effectively developing and driving the business, budget, schedule, project team, roles & responsibilities, stakeholder approvals, and identifying the risks and mitigation/corrective measures;
- Leading and supporting staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention;
- Leading by example and model behaviours that are consistent with the company's values;
- Develop profitable business relationships with clients to ensure that goals and objectives are established and achieved. Developing and implementing action plans to correct variances;
- Anticipating and responding to client's needs and concerns;
- Ability to present complex ideas to a large audience with confidence and clarity.
Skills and attributes
- Strong practical experience in planning/cadastral/administrative matters as well as technical related subjects and management, gained through managing large and complex projects.
- Experience in providing RE Strategic Consultancy Services in connection with technical due diligence, project monitoring, technical feasibility & consulting services;
- Relevant track record and ability in managing large scale, complex and multidisciplinary projects with both national and international players;
- Excellent/Good knowledge and handling of technical methodology and techniques applied to the BU products;
- Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved;
- Strong leadership and management skills;
- Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures;
- Lateral and Strategic thinking with an ability to find innovative ways to deliver the services;
- Strong understanding of different cultures, terrains, and environments;
- Flexibility and readiness to travel as needed;
- Highly organized with strong organizational and commercial skills;
- Good listening and understanding skills and an international mindset;
- Previous experience effectively supervising, training, mentoring and evaluating project managers at various levels within the organization/team.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil or Building Engineering or Architecture, Business, or related field;
- Experience 10+ years in project/program management related field and with specific expertise in a technical consulting environment;
- Proficient in English, both written and oral;
- Being an RICS member would be a plus;
- Enrolled into Board of Engineers or Board of Architects) would be a plus
