Join Our Team as a Director Business Development - home based in UK, Poland, Sweden, Germany or Portugal.
About this role
As part of our Business Development team, you will work alongside passionate professionals to ensure our customers achieve their goals.
The Director Business Development is responsible for the business development strategy and client retention in an allocated sales territory or with specified accounts. Responsible for coordinating all activities delegated to business development staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic plans and sales strategies within a specified territory or accounts
- Meet annual sales goals and objectives
- Identify new business sales opportunities for TFS and collaborate with internal teams to respond to RFIs or RFPs
- Prepare for client meetings, including capabilities and bid defense meetings
- Negotiate budgets and contracts
- award within a specified territory or accounts - Maintain regular contact and build rapport with clients
- Prepare sponsor presentations and gather information for proposals
- Lead proposal processes and understand RFI/RFP procedures
- Manage costs and submit claims promptly
- Coordinate with operations on study status and change orders
- Monitor competitor activities
- Attend industrial events and tradeshows as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant industry experience
- Minimum five (5) years of clinical research and/or sales experience
- Over 3 years of sales experience with strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills
- In-depth knowledge of TFS/CRO business
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Understanding of trends, policies, and regulations in clinical trials
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel extensively within the sales territory and to meetings
