Overview
We are seeking a strategic and technically grounded Director of Data & Insights to lead the evolution of Arkadium’s data function. This role is responsible for architecting a modern, scalable data platform; enabling AI-powered
- service analytics; and identifying opportunities to commercialize Arkadium’s data assets in a
- proof way.
This leader must bring deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and a storytelling mindset—able to extract meaningful insights from complex data and communicate them clearly to technical and
- technical audiences alike to influence
- making at all levels.
Responsibilities
Data Platform Modernization
- Lead the development of a modern
- based data ecosystem using tools such as Databricks, Power BI, App
Insights, and Hotjar
- Oversee data ingestion, transformation (ETL/ELT), governance, and storage in scalable environments (e. g. , Snowflake, GCP/AWS)
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA) across the organization
AI-Enabled Analytics & Self-Service Insights
- Build and scale
- service analytics capabilities for business users, powered by AI and automated insights
- Promote consistent use of Power BI dashboards, embedded insights, and smart alerting for operational excellence
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create intuitive tools that support faster,
- informed
- making
Data Commercialization Strategy
- Identify
- value opportunities to generate business impact through monetization of data assets
- Partner with legal, engineering, and leadership teams to define and operationalize compliant and scalable use of data externally
- Lead development of internal pilots or

Insight Generation & Communication
- Translate raw data into actionable insights, trends, and narratives to support strategy, marketing, product, and finance decisions
- Present findings to senior leadership and
- functional teams using compelling visuals and business framing
- Guide the business in interpreting data patterns to improve outcomes across user engagement, monetization, and operational efficiency
Leadership & Team Development
- Manage and mentor a growing team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists
- Define the
- term vision and roadmap for data and insights as a key enabler of company growth
- Act as a trusted advisor to the executive team on data opportunities, risks, and emerging technologies
- 8+ years in data and analytics leadership roles, with proven experience in platform design, data strategy, and insight delivery
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, Power BI, Azure App
Insights, and Hotjar
- Fluency in modern data tools and languages (e. g. , SQL, Python, dbt, Airflow,
- based data lakes/warehouses)
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data, extract insights, and communicate them effectively to diverse audiences
- Track record of enabling
- service analytics and scaling data literacy across an organization
- Familiarity with data privacy best practices and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA)
- Experience in gaming, consumer tech, or content/media environments a plus

This role is open to candidates based in Portugal. Business hours are 9-18 WEST (UTC+1). For candidates based in the Lisbon area, we are adopting an hybrid work model and this role requires
- person presence. For candidates located outside the Lisbon area, a different cadence of
- person presence will apply, depending on proximity to our office.
