Director of Business Development
TERRAEVENTS Portugal, a growing company with an excellent reputation in the MICE sector is looking to recruit a Director of Business Development to work with the Country Director in business development, coordination and administration of the country office and relevant programs and projects, working with the Country Manager.
ROLE PROFILE
- Ability to achieve short and
- term goals of the Company with clear understanding of the Company culture, values and mission
- Assist with ongoing program of formation of personnel and supervision of workflow and ensure correct implementation of administrative, CRM & HR procedures
- Work with CM to develop & implement sales activities including participation in industry events, establishing and maintaining professional contacts within the industry
- Comprehensive event management of
- faceted and complex events and projects including liaison key vendors to establish favorable T&Cs and Master Service Agreement
- Lead on key accounts and operations for multiple “across the board” projects, participating in site inspections and onsite operations as required
- Provide full operational support to team to collectively deliver successful, high quality events
- Create opportunities with S&M team for marketing special events and projects for destination
- Preparation of reports for Country Manager
- Operate from Lisbon office
- Be prepared to travel
- out Portugal to operate site inspections and operations as required
- Flexibility in willingness to work outside standard business hours as required for attendance at client events, site inspections and industry events
- Minimum 10 years in event industry, of which 3 years in senior position
SKILLS:
- Highly motivated and action oriented with ability to work in a
- paced, pressurized environment
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to work autonomously and with direction as required, to take initiative as well as be part of a team
- Exceptional organizational and

- Professional knowledge of main destinations in national territory
- Proficiency in Microsoft office products, including Excel
