Job Summary
We are seeking a Director of Business Intelligence (BI) to lead our data‑driven decision‑making journey. This pivotal role focuses on BI leadership; driving the organisation from data to insights to action, and ensuring actions are effectively tracked and measured. You will be responsible for transforming data into business impact, ensuring BI initiatives are tightly aligned with company strategy, and enabling stakeholders across all functions to act with confidence in a B2B Saa
S environment.
Your Tasks
- Define and own the BI vision, roadmap, and execution across the company.
- Build and scale a BI organisation that focuses on analytics as a driver of business growth, going beyond reporting.
- Serve as a trusted adviser to senior leadership, embedding insights into strategic decision‑making.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify key business challenges and opportunities, translating them into measurable KPIs.
- Ensure BI delivers clear, actionable insights that directly impact product, commercial, and operational strategies.
- Track and monitor whether recommended actions are being implemented and assess their outcomes, closing the loop between insight and impact.
- Promote data adoption and foster a culture of evidence‑based decision‑making.
- Oversee delivery of dashboards, reporting, and ad‑hoc analysis that empower teams across the organisation.
- Define best practices for analytics, ensuring clarity, consistency, and accuracy in business reporting.
- Champion the usage of BI outputs as pivotal inputs for business decisions at all levels.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Operations to align on metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks.
- Promote data democratisation and enablement, fostering self‑service analytics across teams.
- Maintain close collaboration with stakeholders — each team member has a dotted‑line relationship with a stakeholder and works closely with them to understand how to operationalise the data.
- Attract, mentor, and develop BI talent, building a high‑performing and business‑oriented analytics team.
- Encourage continuous growth, domain knowledge, and storytelling skills within the team.
You Bring
- Strong proficiency in SQL for analysis and validation.
- Hands‑on experience with BI / data visualisation tools (e. g. , Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Proven track record in Saa
S, ideally B2B, with a strong understanding of Saa
S metrics and business models. - 10+ years of experience in Analytics/BI, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
- Exceptional ability to translate data into insights, drive actions, and ensure follow‑through.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
