Finance Director

Our client is a leading, global
- first, B2C travel/ecommerce business. Having scaled the operations across
- six countries globally and recently securing significant institutional investment, the business are seeking a Finance Director to support the CFO in scaling a best in class, international team to meet the exciting growth plans of the business.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the CFO and leading a global team of 20, you will be globally responsible for the areas of accounting, reporting, controlling, financial planning & analysis, and treasury.

You will be tasked with building a best in class team and your teams will also be responsible for cash management, treasury functions and performing all required financial analysis to support
- making in the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Build and implement processes across the finance organization in the areas of accounting, reporting, controlling, financial planning and treasury, ensuring scalable and efficient operations across the globe.
• Create, coordinate, analyze and report the financial performance to the Executive Team and Board of Directors (financial and operational performance, projections, and other special projects as required).
• Develop and manage annual and
  - year budgets that are adequate for the organization’s needs including preparation of periodic budget forecasts.
• Create a data driven culture with a financial mindset within the organization providing tools to the different teams to assess their performance and be accountable for their results.
• Prepare short and
  - term forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.
• Ensure timely and accurate management of all financial aspects including production of financial accounts, auditing, taxes, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms' performance.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Finance Director or similar role in a fast paced environment, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in finance management and with strong accounting/auditing background.
• Hands-on experience with accounting softwares, implementation of ERP systems and financial management systems at an international scale.
