Randstad Digital is currently searching for a talented Director of Global Engineering to join the team of one of our prestigious clients. This role will oversee Frontend, Backend, and Quality Assurance teams, as well as our Technology Innovation group, which drives forward‑looking initiatives in automation, cloud systems, and emerging technology. The Director of Engineering will play a critical leadership role in scaling our technology platforms, enabling innovation, and ensuring reliable, high‑quality digital experiences for our partners and customers worldwide. This position requires a balance of strategic vision, technical acumen, and people‑first leadership.

• Define and execute the engineering strategy in alignment with technology roadmap and business objectives.
• Partner with executive leadership, product management, and operations to deliver scalable, customer‑focused technology solutions.
• Champion a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Lead annual planning, goal‑setting, and performance management for all engineering teams.
• Oversee and mentor engineering managers and senior technical leads across frontend, backend, QA, and innovation functions.
• Build and sustain high‑performing teams through effective recruitment, development, and succession planning.
• Foster collaboration and open communication across distributed teams and departments.
• Ensure team alignment with company values, operational standards, and compliance requirements.
• Provide architectural oversight for major projects and system integrations.
• Drive consistent use of Agile development practices, Dev
  Ops workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure product quality through rigorous testing standards, QA automation, and release governance.
• Oversee system scalability, reliability, and security initiatives in coordination within infrastructure and IT teams.
• Lead the Technology Innovation team to explore, evaluate, and implement cutting‑edge solutions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Translate R&D findings into practical, production‑ready applications.
• Encourage experimentation and structured innovation, balancing creativity with measurable outcomes.
• Develop and manage engineering budgets, vendor relationships, and resource plans.
• Monitor and report on key performance metrics (delivery velocity, defect rates, etc. ).
• Drive initiatives to improve development efficiency, reduce technical debt, and strengthen system resilience.

Required:

• 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading multiple technical disciplines.
• Proven success managing large or distributed engineering organizations.
• Strong understanding of modern web architectures, APIs, and cloud‑native systems.
• Track record of delivering complex software projects with measurable business impact.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
