Director of Supply Chain - Pharma Site role in Portugal

For one of our pharma clients, we are recruiting a Supply Chain Director, member of the site leadership team for Portugal (Large site located at 1. 5 hours from Porto). (permanent role).
Role
As a member of the Site Leadership team, the Supply Chain Director is a major change leader and transformation guide.
- Plan, implement and coordinate the department’s activities, ensuring proper organization and operation, in order to contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization's performance.
- Review all processes and bring them to a higher performance levels and create best possible stability for stakeholders
- Manage inventory levels throughout the distribution chain, avoiding market shortages.
- Prepare and monitor production plans.
- Oversee logistics and distribution activities in compliance with GDP (Good Distribution Practices).
- Monitor and optimize internal and external logistics flows.
The supply chain director :
- Act as the interface between the Plant and the Marketing and Sales units.
- Manage product master data and plan production processes and material procurement.
- Consolidate Plant supplies to markets and coordinate bottleneck situations.
- Ensure coordination with the corporate Supply Chain structure.
Candidate :
- Portuguese native (or Native level speaker) and Excellent professional English
- Previous experience of a minimum of 5 years as a Supply chain Director.
- Able to relocate near the site to ensure full time presence.
The ideal candidate :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar management role within commercial operations and logistics (including product launches, material purchasing, stock management), preferably in large organizations in the pharmaceutical sector.
In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, including master data, production scheduling, CRP, and MRP.
Able to review and define best in class processes in Supply chain and has a supply chain excellence – lean management experience and mindset
Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate teams and peers.
Ability to work under high pressure and demanding environments.
Advanced knowledge of SAP, Excel, and Power BI.
