About The Job
The trainee would equally share his/her time across two teams: Discretionary Portfolio Management and Investment Risk. The main mission of the Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM) desk is to manage the portfolios of clients who delegate to the bank the management of their assets. It provides
- end DPM services to wealthy, sophisticated and demanding private clients, servicing clients from different BNP Paribas WM entities (Switzerland, Luxembourg, Monaco, and Germany). The mission of the Investment Risk team is to help and contribute to the
- up and development of the investment risk framework of the International Markets Products & Services platform.
Your Main Activities Are
- Assist the DPM and Investment Risk activities with tasks and controls performed by the teams.
- Assist the Investment Risk team in the implementation of the controlling framework to ensure clients' best interest and fulfilment of investment guidelines, both internal and under MIFID II framework.
- Assist in reviewing client and counterparty documentation across systems and during onboarding stages.
- Update and maintenance of Investment Risk databases and extracts with financial information.
- Maintenance of Investment Risk department procedures.
- Contribute to the preparation of the Business Monitoring report for DPM International markets.
- Support the team with the preparation of DPM marketing documentation related to the DPM activity including performance, risk asset class allocation, etc.
- Assist the DPM team with the preparation of the Switzerland Business Monitoring report aimed at DPM management.
- Enrich the DPM database with financial information related to Structured Products, sourced in Bloomberg.
- Contribute to the activities' continuous improvement.
Profile and Skills to Success
- Bachelor degree in Finance or equivalent.
- Interest in financial instruments and investment services.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office tools, in particular Excel, Power
Point and Access. - Power BI, VBA and SQL coding capabilities are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and listening in English.
- Availability for a 6‑month internship.
- High organisational and attention to detail ability.
- Good analysis capacity, rigor and accuracy, dynamism, flexibility and autonomy.
