Distributed Cloud | AWS Data Engineer Porto

Overview

We are currently looking for a Data Engineer with expertise in AWS to work on our Cloud Unit, to be part of a team that is currently working on an AWS Cloud based Application for Sales Performance Monitoring of the client's branches in the European market.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data integration workflows using Python, SQL, AWS Glue, and Py
  Spark.
• Leverage cloud services for data storage, processing, and scalability on AWS.
• Work with data lake and data warehouse concepts, multidimensional data modeling, and OLAP cubes.
• Configure and utilize BI platforms (Tableau and similar) to connect data sources, build interactive dashboards, and enable
  - driven insights; provide advanced Tableau capabilities and
  - related tasks (SSAS/SSIS).
• Collaborate in an agile environment using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Git; participate in incident management and user administration.
• Prepare data for machine learning models, support AI initiatives,
  - time analytics, and development of predictive models as applicable.

Qualifications

• Strong emphasis on Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis; experience with Glue and Py
  Spark and understanding of Kafka streaming.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services for data storage, processing and scalability.
• Understanding of data lake, data warehouse concepts, multidimensional data modeling and cubes.
• Proficiency in BI platforms (Tableau; advanced Tableau skills; familiarity with SSAS/SSIS for cube creation and management).
• General Agile working skills (Scrum), Jira, Confluence, Git, etc.
• Experience in operations and incident management, user management.
• Understanding of machine learning concepts and practices; ability to prepare data for ML models and derive insights, with interest in AI and predictive analytics.
