Distributed Cloud | Lead Data Scientist / AI Architect

We are seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join our team, bringing advanced technical expertise in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Decision Support Systems. In this role, you will drive technical excellence across projects, serve as a trusted advisor to the Area Manager, and provide support to the existing team lead. While your focus will not be on directly managing the team, you will act as a technical guide, mentoring junior team members and serving as the Tech Lead on select
- impact projects.

Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and optimize Machine Learning (ML) models, Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems, and Decision Support algorithms, including supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning, and deep learning techniques.

- Experiment with and apply
- edge methodologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and
- agent systems to deliver innovative solutions.

- Act as a Tech Lead for complex projects, ensuring technical rigor and driving excellence in implementation.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Data Scientists and AI Engineers, fostering their growth and development in collaboration with the current team lead.

- Work closely with the Area Manager, project leads, and other stakeholders to align technical deliverables with strategic goals.

- Stay at the forefront of AI advancements, proactively identifying opportunities to integrate new techniques and approaches into projects.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field. A Ph. D. is a plus.

- Proven track record in developing and deploying ML/AI models in production environments.

- Broad expertise in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence techniques, including supervised learning (e. G. , regression, classification), unsupervised learning (e. G. , clustering, dimensionality reduction), reinforcement learning, deep learning, and ensemble methods.

- Practical experience with advanced
- support systems, optimization techniques, and
- time predictive modeling.

- Familiarity with
- edge technologies, including Generative AI, Large Language Models, and
- agent systems, while maintaining a strong foundation in classical ML/AI approaches.

- Proficiency in Python or R, and frameworks such as Tensor
Flow, Py
Torch, or Scikit-learn.

- Strong understanding of model evaluation, feature engineering, hyperparameter tuning, and interpretability techniques.

- Experience with probabilistic models,
- based algorithms, and
- series forecasting is a plus.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), data pipelines, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
