We have an exciting opportunity for a District Visual Merchandising - Fixed Term 1 year based in Lisbon.
Department overview:
The Visual Merchandising Department in luxury retail plays a key role in bringing a brand’s identity to life through the presentation of products
- store. We design and execute visually compelling displays that reflect the brand's aesthetics, attract
- end clientele, and enhance the overall shopping experience. Our work involves everything from window displays and
- store layouts to color schemes and lighting, all carefully curated to tell a story, highlight new collections, and ultimately drive sales while maintaining the brand's prestige.
What you will do:
The District Visual Merchandiser acts as a brand ambassador, balancing creativity with commercial insight to ensure visual consistency and excellence across all stores within a territory. The role supports all visual touchpoints and collaborates on
- functional projects such as showroom setups, events,
- ups, and store openings.
Teamwork & Communication:
- Monitor and support monthly VM execution, providing guidance, training, and strategic feedback to stores.
- Complete key admin tasks (photo decks, visit reports, whereabouts, feedback) and submit weekly/monthly updates to Regional VM.
- Share creative ideas (Comp
Shop) monthly and join weekly team calls. - Lead assigned projects and collaborate with internal/external partners (e. g. , marketing, suppliers).
- Host monthly walkthroughs with store management and support the annual VM summit.
- Coordinate and install seasonal campaigns and provide
- installation feedback. - Lead planning and execution of new store openings and relocations.
Training & Development:
- Host regular
- store VM training across the district. - Deliver structured store visits focused on training and execution.
- Refresh training content during District Manager calls and help build VM training tools.
- Mentor and develop VM talent, supporting recruitment and onboarding of
- store VMs.
Commercial Focus:
- Partner with base stores to plan monthly floorsets and optimize product placement based on weekly performance.
- Support district stores with commercial VM strategy using reports and market insights.
- Conduct joint visits with District Managers to identify VM opportunities.
- Align VM strategy with business goals and adapt store layouts to market needs.
- Contribute to the annual fixture review project with layout proposals and improvements.
Creative Innovation:
- Adapt brand VM directives to local markets with a tailored approach.
- Support seasonal and
- specific projects (e. g. ,
- ups, showrooms). - Contribute to innovation in display techniques and sustainability.
- Integrate creative concepts into model stores and collaborate on prop/fixture development with the Senior VM team.
You’ll Need to Have:
- 3-5 years of retail experience, creating visual directives or similar.
- Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, In
Design, Illustrator and the addition of Power
Point, and Excel. - Intermediate photography skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to interface with internal and external partners.
- Ability to travel and work within a team or independently.
