EIB Trainee – Information Systems Directorate – Analytics & Reporting Solutions Unit – Luxembourg

This traineeship is based at the European Investment Bank Luxembourg headquarters and requires regular office presence. It offers experience in a multicultural, international environment.

Duration: 5 months (fixed) with possible extension up to 6 months if required by the university. Start date: 1st March/April 2026.

Objective of the Traineeship

You will support the team to accelerate the adoption of Power BI as a target self‑service reporting solution within the organisation, in alignment with the roll‑out of the new Data Platform (Fabric) and Citizen Development. In this role you will ensure that the practices and guidelines set by the Data Governance Office are followed by dashboard owners.

Responsibilities

• Safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Streamlining dashboard development and maintenance processes.
• Clarifying roles to promote disciplined data management.
• Promoting sustainable and coherent dashboard and query processes.
• Identifying and mitigating risks associated with Power BI management.

Qualifications

• Final year of studies or University degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, IT or equivalent.
• Understanding of the EIB’s mission and operational framework is an advantage.
• Knowledge of databases and relevant platforms is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to learn new IT tools quickly is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Share
  Point and Azure is a distinctive advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; knowledge of another EU language is an advantage.
