EIB Trainee - Projects Directorate - Innovative Supply Chain & Process Industries Division - based in Luxembourg
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st March/April 2026). Possible extension: up to 6 months if required by University.
Applicants must be nationals of EU Member States or candidate countries. Erasmus+ programmes may not overlap. Only the first three applications will be considered. Application deadline: 18 November 2025.
Objective: Support the Bank’s internal team in consolidating knowledge on Critical Raw Materials, providing background research on market, supply chain and technology trends, and analysing the investment potential of future projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare internal presentations on the outlook and the role of the Bank in financing Critical Raw Materials projects.
- Perform research on strategic CRM projects (e. g. , extraction, processing, recycling, substitution).
- Prepare concise summaries on specific topics in CRM technologies and projects from internal and external sources.
- Review and benchmark previous projects financed by the Bank.
- Work in collaboration with a tutor and independently manage own workload.
Academic Qualifications And Professional Skills
- Final year of studies or University degree in Economics, Geology, Mineral processing, Engineering, Materials Science, Market Research or related fields.
- Affinity with Critical Raw Materials and related fields.
- Previous work experience in the Critical Raw Materials topic is advantageous.
- Excellent written and spoken English; ability to write concise summaries of lengthy reports.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Power
Point, Excel).
