The European Union's bank is seeking to recruit for its Secretariat General (SG) - Shareholder Relations and Institutional Matters Department (SR&IM) - Institutional Representation Division (IRD) at its EIB Local office in Warsaw, Poland: TRAINEE.
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st March 2026)
Only applications from nationals of the Member States of the European Union, as well as citizens from candidate states (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine), are considered.
Candidates whose Erasmus+ programme overlaps with the duration of the traineeship will not be considered.
Please limit your applications to a maximum of three traineeship publications. We will consider and retain only the first three applications submitted.
Objective of the traineeship: to provide support for the activities of the EIB Group's Warsaw office in line with the EIB Group communication strategy for Poland. The role of the trainee would be to contribute actively to the engagement and communication between EIB Group and stakeholders in Poland, and the promotion of EIB Group activities and financing opportunities in Poland. The trainee would assist the Head of Office in the preparation of various events and meetings planned in 2026 in Poland.
The trainee would be part of one of the biggest EIB Group offices within the EU, working in a dynamic and multicultural environment, and will have the opportunity to develop professional skills and gain experience by working with teams from Warsaw Office and from the headquarters in Luxembourg.
Responsibilities
- Provide input for speeches, briefings and presentations for events where the Head of Office or EIBG management is invited to represent the EIB Group (seminars, workshops, conferences, meetings with Polish stakeholders).
- Accompany the Head of Office at events and meetings, when necessary.
- Perform internal research activities and gathering materials on various topics, such as EIB Group priorities.
- Support the organisation of EIB Group events and meetings planned for 2026 in Poland.
- Assist in various
- hoc administrative and logistical matters within the Warsaw Office.
Academic Qualifications And Professional Skills
- Final year of studies or University degree in economics, finance, international relations, law or a
- related field. - Understanding of EU institutional framework and the role of international financial institutions would be an advantage.
- Certain knowledge and understanding of EIB Group's mission and activities.
- Excellent drafting skills.
- Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power
Point, Outlook). - Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of Polish will be considered a strong advantage.
