Electrical Engineer (LV&MV)
The Electrical Engineer (LV & MV) supports the design, implementation, and operation of electrical systems that power our
- scale data centers. Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer, this role is critical in ensuring electrical safety, reliability, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle - from concept and design to commissioning and operation.
This function works closely with design consultants, contractors, and internal teams to deliver

- class electrical systems across Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) networks (non-proficient High Voltage support may also be required to support the team).
Cross functional activities are required in three main domains: “Datacenter Core Systems”, “Buildings” and “Substations”.
Responsibilities:
- Support the design, review, and validation of electrical systems for data centers, covering LV, MV and HV distribution networks (proficient in LV and MV).
- Participate in the development of
- line diagrams (SLDs), cable routing, and protection schemes. - Collaborate with design consultants and vendors to ensure technical specifications meet project and operational requirements.
- Assist in defining design standards, technical specifications, and best practices for scalability and energy efficiency.
Project Execution
- Provide technical input and supervision during procurement, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Review contractor designs, material submittals, and method statements for compliance with design intent and regulations.
- Conduct site inspections and testing (FAT, SAT, and commissioning).
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of electrical issues during construction and operation.
Operations & Maintenance Support
- Assist in the transition from construction to operations, including documentation and training handovers.
- Contribute to the development of maintenance procedures and electrical safety protocols.
- Participate in root‑cause analyses for electrical incidents or performance issues.
- Ensure all work complies with IEC standards, local regulations, and company safety policies.
Cross‑functional Collaboration
- Work closely with mechanical, civil, and controls engineering teams to ensure systems integration and performance optimization.
- Support sustainability initiatives, including power usage effectiveness (PUE) optimization and renewable integration.
- Liaise with utility providers and grid operators as needed for MV connections and upgrades.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in electrical design, construction, or maintenance, ideally in data centers, industrial, or energy infrastructure environments.
- Solid knowledge of LV & MV distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, and protection systems.
- Familiarity with IEC standards and Portuguese electrical regulations.
- Proficiency with electrical design tools (e. g. , Auto
CAD, EPLAN, ETAP, or similar). - Strong command of English and Portuguese (written and spoken).
