Job Description:

We are seeking an Electronics Cost Engineer to join our Airbus GBS team.

Responsibilities - your mission

As an Electronics Cost Engineer, you will focus on procurement support and design to cost/value topics.

Procurement Support

• Conduct cost assessments, identify cost drivers, and collaborate with engineering, programs, and procurement for optimization.
• Coordinate with multifunctional teams and commodity buyers to prioritize and plan
  - related work, proposing alternatives as needed.
• Lead cost gap analysis to identify negotiation levers and support negotiations across all cost areas.

Design to Cost

• Guide engineering in designing new components with cost efficiency in mind.
• Assist in
  - stage Go/No Go decisions for cost/value ideas.
• Propose innovative,
  - effective solutions and challenge existing design assumptions.
• Provide detailed estimations and analysis on design trades, identifying key cost drivers.

Requirements - our ideal candidate will have

• Master's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of electronic/electric manufacturing processes and their costs.
• Understanding of testing methods, acceptance procedures, and assembly.
• Experience in electronic design and development processes.
• Basic knowledge of software development, preferably for aircraft.
• Team player with entrepreneurial mindset, good communication, and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic skills, with basic project management experience.
• Proficiency in English at negotiation level.
