Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Electronics Development Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing hardware solutions for test and measurement platforms.
Your responsibilities will range from
- on PCB design, prototyping, and debugging to
- functional collaboration and compliance with industry standards - all aimed at delivering reliable products, supporting calibration workflows, and driving innovation in electronic system development.
- Hardware Design & Development: design, develop, and maintain multilayer PCB schematics and layouts for test and measurement platforms.
- Electronic component selection and evaluation: analyze datasheets, evaluate lifecycle status, and propose suitable alternatives or replacements.
- Prototyping & Debugging: assemble and rework SMD-based PCBs, perform manual soldering and reflow processes, and debug hardware prototypes.
- Documentation: create and maintain technical documentation including BOMs, PCB layout guidelines, calibration standards, and test procedures.
- Performance Optimization: monitor and improve hardware and system performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: work closely with R&D, QA, Production, and Procurement teams to define testing requirements and integrate hardware/software solutions.
- On-site Support: provide support for software development, calibration systems, and
- time troubleshooting on the production floor. - Compliance & Standards: ensure adherence to internal and external standards including EMC, Ro
HS, electrical safety, and measurement accuracy. - Design for Test & Manufacturing: support DFT and DFM practices during hardware development.
- Tool Management: maintain component libraries and
- controlled design files using tools like Altium Designer.

Your Profile
- Educational Requirements: degree in Electronics Engineering or similar field.
- Work Experience: 3+ years of experience in similar projects and environments.
- Technical Skills: experience with measurement systems, instrumentation, or calibration processes is preferred; proficiency in design tools such as Altium Designer; familiarity with Or
CAD X or Ki
Cad is a plus. - Language skills: fluent in English and Portuguese; German is a plus.
