Teams meet a few times a year in various global locations for strategy and alignment.
We are growing our sales team and are hiring for roles at various levels to expand our presence in industries like Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, and Telco, as well as consumer electronics. Candidates should be technically skilled, familiar with embedded Linux and RTOS, and open to working across multiple time zones. We are also hiring Sales Managers and Regional Directors for leadership roles.
Our Ubuntu editions, including Ubuntu Core for Io
T, are at the forefront of security and resilience, serving clients in consumer and industrial electronics, automotive, and robotics. We aim to extend our security, management, and developer tools to small Linux environments and devices, working towards certifications and
- time Linux capabilities.
This role involves prospecting and strategic account development, requiring energy, ambition, and focus. Success depends on your ability to position and sell open source solutions to various organizational levels, especially those developing embedded software and Io
T devices. Knowledge of our priority sectors is desirable.
Our goal is to provide comprehensive open source solutions with security compliance and support, offering a broad portfolio across clouds, compute classes, and applications. Canonical offers enterprise software, support, consulting, and training for Ubuntu and open source deployments in cloud, data centers, and Io
T ecosystems. We are a profitable,

While Ubuntu's widespread adoption provides a strong foundation, sales professionals must actively develop relationships, identify opportunities, and manage pipelines using professional tools like Salesforce. The role involves carrying an annual bookings quota, traveling regionally and internationally, and engaging with clients at all organizational levels.
Location:
We are expanding in EMEA, APAC, and the Americas.
The role includes:
- Building and executing territory plans
- Collaborating with marketing to boost brand awareness
- Developing pipeline through outreach and events
- Closing deals to meet targets
- Managing customer relationships
- Working with Io
T engineers to ensure satisfaction - Maintaining accurate forecasts in Salesforce
- Building relationships with key stakeholders
- Coordinating with support, delivery, and management teams
Qualifications include:
- Strong academic record and technical degree
- Confidence in communication and feedback exchange
- Proven sales success, especially in embedded Linux or enterprise software
- Passion for technology and personal initiatives
- Excellent English skills and interpersonal abilities
- Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred)
- Willingness to travel up to 50% and attend company events
- Ability to develop sales strategies and follow through with detail
