Embedded Software Engineer – Airbag Systems (F/M/Div. )

Responsibilities

• Develop software components for
  - generation acceleration and inertial sensors used in airbag control units.
• Work across the full V‑model – from requirements engineering and architecture to coding, SIL/HIL testing, and component release.
• Contribute technical expertise to platform and customer projects, provide solutions for integrating components into systems, and support advanced software architecture and configuration concepts.
• Collaborate in an international agile team with colleagues in Germany, India, and other worldwide locations.
• Support compliance with functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity (ISO 21434) industry standards.

Qualifications

Education

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a comparable field.

Experience

• Embedded automotive software development experience, ideally in safety‑critical or hardware‑dependent environments.
• Familiarity with microcontroller drivers, communication buses (e. g. , SPI), sensor drivers, or real‑time embedded functions.

Know‑how

• Strong C and/or C++ programming skills.
• Knowledge of model‑based development (e. g. , UML).
• Experience with tools such as IBM Doors Next
  Gen, Rational Team Concert, Rhapsody, or similar.

Languages

• Very good English communication skills.
• German is an advantage.

Working Style & Methods

• Comfortable working in international agile teams across time zones.
• Occasional business travel to partner locations in Germany and India may be required.
