We’re hiring a Lead Embedded Software Engineer to own the brains of a
- gen hardware platform

We’re working with a US-based industrial technology group that builds hardware used in mining, construction and
- scale infrastructure. Their systems operate in some of the harshest environments on the planet and rely on high-precision positioning,
- time data and embedded intelligence to get the job done.

They’re building a specialist hardware and GNSS team in Lisbon. You will be the engineer who defines and evolves the embedded software platform that runs across multiple products.

Key responsibilities:

Owning Embedded Linux from kernel through userspace

Building and maintaining Yocto-based Linux distributions

Developing and optimizing C/C++ software running close to the hardware

Working with Android (AOSP) where products require rich UI or
- level services

Integrating sensors, cameras and ISP pipelines

Designing reusable software frameworks that scale across product families

Supporting board
- up, BSPs and device drivers

Making systems run reliably under tight CPU, memory and power constraints

Debugging at the signal, kernel and driver level when things go wrong

Experience with GNSS, RF systems, embedded networking or industrial hardware is a strong advantage, but not mandatory.
