The Team You Will Join

You will join the EMEA Vmware , Storage, Backup and Replication team supporting 6 Data Centres across EMEA. This is a newly formed team that has the goal of delivering a
- class solution for Met
Life.

The Opportunity

You will primarily be responsible for the provision of storage and the support and maintenance of the backup solutions. As the Team is also responsible for Vmware and Replication technologies there will be opportunities to also support these solutions as well.

This is an exciting new role within the new team, and you will be responsible to the Manager of the team to deliver a world class solution for Met
Life in EMEA.

The ideal candidate will have a full understanding of Storage Technologies including
- on experience of Dell EMC Storage solutions including v
Block , PMAX, Unity , ECS. They will also need to have a full understanding of Backup Technologies to include Rubrik, Laser
Vault , Data
Domain , Avamar and IDPA solutions.

A good working knowledge of Operating systems Windows and Linux is essential and any knowledge of AS400 systems would be a great benefit.

How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future

• Manage and Maintain the Storage and Backup Environments across EMEA.
• Support the backup requirements and maintain the backup schedules
• Accept call escalations to resolve tickets that are escalated from Level 1 & 2 resource.
• Liaise with vendors to escalated issues that cannot be resolved in house. re availability and performance compliance to SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and OLAs (Operational Level Agreements) this will mainly be for Citrix related issues.
• Windows and Linux Server Backup and Storage provision
• AS400 backup support including Laser
  Vault Virtual Tape Library
• SQL, DB2 and Oracle DB backup
• 3rd Line escalation point
• Monitor Storage and Backup logs and health alarms, then rectify issues and elevate as needed.
• Work with the EMEA Automation team to design and implement automation of repeatable tasks to enhance efficiency
• Support the EMEA Elastic Observability Team to deliver the solution to enable
  - healing of failed Backups and Storage issues
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems.
• Support businesses and teams across EMEA with Vulnerability and patch management of wider systems

What You Need to Succeed

• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role:
• In depth working knowledge of the following technologies:
• Dell EMC storage (PMAX, v
  Block , Unity and ECS)
• Knowledge of Rubrik, Data
  Domain /IDPA, and Laservault backup solutions
• Power
  Shell Scripting
• Patch Management
• Windows and Linux Server operating systems
• Shell scripting (Perl, Python, Ruby, Power
  Shell, Java
  Script)
• Administration with Windows based enterprise applications
• Strong
  - solving skills and ability to work as part of a creative team.
• Attention to detail: dedication to quality and excellent documentation skills are key.
• Team Player & Hands-on work style with advanced communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working with global teams
• Proactive in nature:
  - do attitude
